Villa Di Sorrento

The hotel was in a magnificent location being very close to the main square.

Perfect central location steps to Tasso Square on level ground which is great for people with any walking difficulties. We had a small balcony at the front of the hotel which was nice. Although there was no decaffeinated coffee at breakfast, the waiter gave us specially brewed decaf espresso which was much appreciated. When no tea/coffee is provided in rooms we always take our travel kettle and the hotel were happy to provide us with a jug of milk when requested. This is a no frills hotel fairly but perfectly adequate for our needs.

Although stated on their website, they do not have satellite or cable TV, so we missed the Ryder Cup coverage!

I enjoy stauing there - it was in the center of Sorrento and was very convinient.

Price was a bit high. There were no coffe/tea facilities in my room

My wife and I found all of the staff at Villa Di Sorrento courteous, friendly and very helpful. They ensured that our stay over the course of the week was very pleasant. The room was clean and the shower room was immaculate, cannot really be faulted. Breakfasts were ample and there was a wide range of food on offer from toast and eggs to yoghurt, not forgetting tea and coffee. The central location of the hotel was exactly what we wanted, just seconds from the main square and a range of some very good restaurants. In the evenings it was delightful to stroll in the square and in the narrow lanes that run from it.We would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again and recommending it to any future visitors.

I stayed for 4 nights in October, 2012 and the room was wonderful. Small balcony overlooking the main street. The hotel location is right in the middle of town, a short walk from the station, a few metres from the central piazza and the old town. I enjoyed my stay immensely and would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sorrento.

We enjoyed our stay, convenient and clean. Ideal location in center of Sorrento. Walking distance to ports, buses and trains. Great Bio-organic vegetarian restaurant and grocery around the corner. Staff was kind and accommodating. Great location to explore entire Amalfi coast from.

Location excellent. Most staff were lovely. Breakfast excellent. Overall quite happy with my stay.

On their Booked.net profile it says "your room has a balcony or small terrace", but upon arriving I was given a small room on the first floor with a small window facing a fence. Even during the day I had to use the lights. I queried this terrace business and they told me that none of their single rooms have a balcony/terrace, only double rooms. I expressed my disappointment (at their misleading profile) and they arranged for me to stay in a double room with terrace for 2 out of the 3 nights I was staying. The double room was good.

I like the location of Hotel Villa Di Sorrento, in the heart of the main piazza tasso. Walking distance from the train station and clean hotel.

Service of some staff was pretty fair, especially on our arrival. Breasfast was pretty poor. Got to breakfast at 9.30am most times and no much left. Had to leave keys at front desk when you went out, and anyone could easily grab the keys as sometimes their was no-one at the front desk.

It is in the center of it all Our group tour was to meet up at the hotel down the block Grand Victoria but we arrived 1 day early and stayed here. Steps from main square. Room very clean and similar in size with the Grand Hotel but only the room not the lobby or anything else so I was very pleased

Overslept and missed breakfast - could not even get a cup of coffee outside of that if ever I or someone I know needed a room in Sorrento I would recomend this hotel for location and price

Tis hotel was not a fully satisfactory experience. The main entrance of the hotel and breakfast area are nice and clean. Breakfast had good quality. However, the single room where I stood doesn’t have a three star hotel quality. It was at one star level, or less. The room had an unusual small bad (not appropriate for people more than 1, 6m tall) and an interior window which was impossible to open, because it was at the floor level. So, the smell inside the room was not very pleasant. Actually, they don’t show pictures of the single rooms on internet, nor advise that they don’t have single rooms with outside windows. In addition, I advised that I was going to check out one day earlier than I had planned, when I checked in. However, the person at the reception tried to charge me the full stay. I had to argue with her, which was also not very pleasant.

The hotel has a perfect location in Sorrento. It is right next to the main squared and lots of great restaurants. It's not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable.

The only complaint I have is that the shower stall is very, very small.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. It was priced right for what it had to offer. Staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. I would recommend this hotel to budget conscious travelers who want to be in the heart of things where the action is and have no need to spend much time time in their room.

The room was very dark and so small we could hardly find space to open a suitcase. The buffet breakfast left a lot to be desired, especially the coffee machine. Hotel Villa Di Sorrento could spend some money on updating/renovating in my opinion.

Fantastic location, right in the middle of the main piazza. Easy walk to all attractions and transport. We overlooked the piazza and could see the bay but noise wasn't a problem. It was quaint, the bed was clean and comfortable. It had quiet and efficient air conditioning.

The staff were not particularly welcoming or helpful. It had the basics but no extras- no tea/coffee facilities or fridge. A small portable TV. However if like us you only wanted a clean place to sleep it was fine.

Excellent location on the main square close to train and bus station as well as port and restaurants. Good value off season and not overpopulated. You can easily explore the entire Amalfi coast and Capri from here. Staff were friendly and accommodating with a basic breakfast service.

I liked the location...their breakfast is excellent...the n ight manager is great and the rooms clean...love the location....

Angela the day clerk is very rude and does not like americans ...is not helpful when asked questions abt cabs and tours in the city has been like this for the las 5 years I have been staying there...they need to talk to her...she is awful. And I can get more people to tell you the same. I go throught your website and we always stay there since 2000...great price. Please have someone speak to her...or we will look furthere...enough is enough...she never smiles and always is bothered when you ask her any one thing...why have you not done this before as I asked you to.....we are paying her salary...again...angela need to be talked to. They need brochures in this hotel for touring...
